With over 20 years’ senior management experience in the pharmaceutical industry Andrea Tam’s breadth and depth of expertise plays a key role in Phargentis’ early market entry strategy.
After working as a research associate at the Università degli Studi di Milano, he joined the Italian subsidiary of a Japanese multinational group where he rose to become R&D Director. From the early 2000’s he dealt with different European companies achieving wide-ranging management experience from business development to corporate development.

Qualifications: He holds a MSc in Industrial Chemistry from the Università degli Studi di Milano.

Tenure: Andrea Tam joined Phargentis as Chief Executive Officer in January 2017.

Experienced Chief Financial Officer with a demonstrated history of working over 20 years in the electronic and mechanical manufacturing industry.

Skilled in financial and management accounting, business strategy and financial reporting completed by obtaining a certificate as Board member in 2021.

Qualifications: Swiss certified expert for Accounting and Controlling. Holds a master degree in Controlling from Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration (2010).

Tenure: Since June 2022 joined Phargentis as Chief Financial Officer.

Dr. Clarissa Gobetti is a highly experienced Director of Project Management with extensive skills in managing projects involving Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Verification and Validation (V&V), Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). She has led large-scale Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs departments.

In November 2008 she was appointed Qualified Person (Technical Responsible according to the Swissmedic Ordinance OAM 812.212.1) and Director of Quality Assurance of a pharmaceutical company producing chemical and biological Active Ingredients and solid dosage forms.

Qualifications: Clarissa Gobetti is a Doctor in Chemistry from Università degli Studi dell’Insubria.

Tenure: joined Phargentis in 2015 as Project Manager, rising to Program Manager, Scientific Affairs Director and now she is Chief Scientific Officer.

From 1995 to 2008 Fausto Vellani occupied a wide range of senior positions in the Technical Operations of a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical group. From 2008 he was acting COO for a medium-size company leading the supply chain (Chemical Production, Biological and Biotechnological, Quality Control, Engineering and Logistic). During this period he gained extensive experience in the production and analysis of a wide range of pharmaceutical forms including inhaled drugs.

Qualifications: Fausto Vellani holds a BSc. in Natural Sciences (1991) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETHZ) and a Ph.D in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology (1995).

Tenure: Fausto Vellani joined Phargentis as Director Industrial Operations in August 2019 and now he is Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining the company, Mara Camillo spent eight years in a Swiss Pharmaceutical Company as a microbiologist in the Quality Control team before moving to the Business Development Department.
In 2011 she gained certification in Business Organization and Project Management from ASIO (Associazione Svizzera Italiana di Organizzazione e Management).

Qualifications: Mara Camillo holds a BSc in Biomedical Technliques from Università degli Studi di Milano (UNIMI Italia).

Tenure: Mara Camillo joined Phargentis as Business Development Manager in September 2017. Now she is Head of Licensing and BD.

She started her career in 1999, in the pharmaceutical industry. During an initial experience in the Quality Control department of a multinational Japanese group she took a specialization degree in Regulatory Affairs and joined an Italian virtual SME covering the role of responsible for technical development, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance in the context of pharmaceutical products developments, dossiers preparation and product supply to customers. From 2017 she dealt with different German companies achieving significant project management and teams’ coordination skills in relation to pharmaceutical development, quality assurance and regulatory affairs departments.

Qualifications: Doctor in Chemistry

Tenure: She joined Phargentis in October 2022 and she is the Director of Product Development.
